Hammad Kamran is a seasoned data science leader dedicated to delivering AI-driven solutions that meet complex enterprise business needs, driving meaningful impacts. As Head of the Data Science Practice and Lead Data Scientist at Kagool, a Microsoft-partnered firm, Hammad has led transformative programmes across diverse industries and regions including Europe, APAC, Middle East and the Americas. Recently, he has lead initiatives with prominent clients such as Envestnet, a global leader in financial services, and Al-Futtaim Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the Middle East, focusing on enhancing both employee engagement and citizen interactions through innovative Generative AI solutions.

Hammad’s portfolio also includes high-impact AI projects with McLaren Automotive, where he led warranty cost optimisation, and Birmingham City Council, where his work on waste management contributes positively to urban sustainability. In the academic sector, he collaborates with Purdue University on Smart Foundry projects to improve casting quality through advanced data insights, underscoring his versatility in applying data science across fields within Connected Factories.

With expertise that extends beyond generative AI, Hammad’s work encompasses end-to-end solutions in predictive maintenance, video analytics, and quality control. As Product Owner for Xenial, Kagool’s Video Analytics platform, he has applied video analytics to improve logistics, enhance traffic safety, and optimize construction and retail operations, demonstrating his commitment to value-driven solutions, reducing the Time-to-Value of AI initiatives by orders of magnitude.

Joining the Centre for the New Midlands’ Digital Leadership Board, Hammad brings a results-focused approach and a commitment to fostering digital progress in the West Midlands.
